In an advisory, the Manila, Philippines-based carrier announced the one-stop biometric process will allow boarding through a Self Boarding eGate for those departing for Manila from JFK Airport Terminal 1.
To use the eGate, passengers will have their face image taken for verification by US Customs & Border Protection before boarding the flight.
Philippine Airlines advises that the eGate boarding is not available for passengers 14 years of age or younger, under 1.2 meters (~3'9”) in height, and those who using a wheelchair or requiring special assistance.
