Philippine Airlines resumes seasonal winter service to Sapporo, Japan

Philippine Airlines recently resumed its seasonal nonstop flights to Sapporo, Japan for this winter season (IATA Winter 2025/2026).


According to Philippine Airlines and Flightradar24, the first Manila-Sapporo flight for the season – PR406 – departed Manila before 0630H (PhST) on November 24. The aircraft used on the flight was a Airbus A321neo registered as RP-C9930.


The seasonal service is operated by Philippine Airlines connecting Manila to the capital of the northern Japanese island of Sapporo. This season, the flights will operate until March 27, 2026. 


From Manila, the airline operates three weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) using A321neo aircraft with 168 seats (12 Business and 156 Economy).


“By re-launching this seasonal route, we are opening a gateway for travelers to experience Philippine Airlines’ world-class service, and signature heartfelt hospitality while supporting demand for flights between the two destinations,” said Richard Nuttall, President, Philippine Airlines.

“The returning service expands PAL’s presence in Japan, boosting connections across the Japan region,” Nuttall.

Sapporo is Philippine Airlines' sixth destination in Japan. The airline also operates flights to Tokyo Narita/Haneda, Osaka Kansai, Nagoya, and Fukuoka from Manila. In addition, direct flights are also offered from Cebu to Tokyo Narita and Osaka Kansai.
