Ahead of the launch of its new route between Cebu and Guam, and following the announcement of a new route to Koror, Palau, Philippine Airlines is further expanding its services in the Western Pacific with the return of Saipan to its network.

In a post on Instagram published on December 11, the Manila, Philippines-based carrier announced it will operate two weekly flights between Manila and Saipan – located north of Guam, and the biggest island in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands (CNMI) – starting March 29, 2026. The flights will be operated by PAL Express using Airbus A321 aircraft.

Aeroroutes reports the outbound flight will operate as PR2571 every Sunday and Wednesday, departing Manila at 1945H and arrive in Saipan at 0145H the following morning. The return flight – PR2571 – will depart Saipan at 0250H every Monday and Thursday before arriving back at Manila at 0505H later in the morning.

Philippine Airlines previously operated flights to Saipan until 2017.

The new Manila-Saipan route will add to Philippine Airlines' expansion in the Western Pacific. Currently operating daily flights between Manila and Guam, Philippine Airlines will expand its services to the US territory with an additional thrice-weekly service from Cebu starting December 16. The airline will also launch twice-weekly flights from Manila to Palau on March 29, 2026.
