Qatar Airways' subsidiary Qatar Executive received the world's first two Gulfstream G700 aircraft to its fleet.
The Doha-based corporate jet operator – which currently has a fleet of 15 Gulfstream G650ER jets – is the first carrier to offer the G700 to charter customers which according to the carrier will continue to “provide an ultra-modern fleet with the ultimate in aircraft capabilities, luxury and performance.”
Qatar Executive expects another 8 G700s to be delivered, with the new aircraft scheduled to enter full commercial service in June. Following the delivery of the first two jets, the carrier stated two more will be delivered within weeks.
“We are proud to enhance our existing fleet of 15 Gulfstream G650ER aircraft to include the pinnacle of business aviation excellence and look forward to seeing our guests on board soon to experience this technologically advanced aircraft,” said Mohammed Al-Meer, CEO, Qatar Airways Group.
Following Mohammed's remarks, Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream added: “Qatar Executive has been a valued Gulfstream customer for nearly 10 years. We are honoured to have them as our international partner for the launch and first deliveries of the all-new G700. We look forward to growing their fleet in the months ahead.”
Introduced in 2019, the G700 is the largest and fastest business jet offered by Gulfstream. With a maximum range of over 14350km (~7750nm), the G700 can reach a maximum speed of Mach 0.935. Qatar Executive's G700s features bespoke cabins with a revolutionary lighting system, low cabin pressure altitude, and an ionising system for the cabin air.
