STARLUX has announced a new interline partnership with American Airlines, providing customers of both airlines access to more routes between North America and Taipei.
Under the interline partnership, customers can book their travel on a single-ticket and benefit from through-checked baggage between American Airlines' extensive network and STARLUX's transpacific and intra-Asia routes. Passengers can connect to Taipei from cities in the US and North America including New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Mexico City.
“We are very honored to have the partnership with American Airlines — one of the United States top airlines,” said STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai. “The partnership will greatly expand STARLUX’s reach into the U.S., with customers accessing American’s vast North American network. It will also increase travel choices for American Airlines customers looking to travel to Taipei.”

The announcement of the interline partnership between STARLUX and American Airlines follows the launch of STARLUX's route between Taipei Taoyuan International Airport and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport – a key hub for American Airlines.
According to STARLUX, the new flights to Phoenix will allow for smooth connections to and from US domestic flights operated by American to major US cities including New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas, Las Vegas, and El Paso.
From the US, STARLUX currently operates flights to four US cities – Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Ontario.
