STARLUX Airlines is planning to expand its network in the United States with a new non-stop route between Taipei and Phoenix, Arizona.
Reported by the operator of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, the Mayor of the City of Phoenix Kate Gallego announced STARLUX intends to launch the new direct route to the city from Taipei Taoyuan Airport in 2026. Subject to government approvals, STARLUX will operate three to four weekly flights between Taipei and Phoenix using 306-seat Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
No exact date of the route launch and flight schedule has been reported. Upon its launch, the new Taipei-Phoenix route will be the first direct route from the city of Phoenix to a destination in Asia.
“I knew from the moment I set foot in Phoenix that STARLUX should make the investment to fly here. Not only is the growth of business between Taipei and Phoenix staggering, it’s a perfect match for our level of service. We are proud and honored to be the first carrier to provide nonstop Asia service for the Phoenix community,” said STARLUX founder and Chairman Kuo-Wei Chang.
Phoenix will be STARLUX's fifth destination in the United States (US). The Taiwan-based airline currently operates flights to San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles. From June 2, STARLUX will launch a new route between Taipei and Ontario, California.
