STARLUX to expand services to the island of Okinawa with new routes to Miyakojima

STARLUX is expanding its services to the southern Japanese islands of Okinawa Prefecture with new routes to Miyakojima from both Taipei and Taichung.



STARLUX is expanding its services to the southern Japanese islands of Okinawa Prefecture with new routes to Miyakojima from both Taipei and Taichung.


From February 12 2026, STARLUX will operate two weekly flights (Monday and Thursday) between Taipei Taoyuan International Airport and Miyakojima. The following day – February 13 - two weekly flights (Tuesday and Friday) will also be operated to Miyakojima from Taichung.


STARLUX will use its Airbus A321neo aircraft on both routes.


Miyakojima (Miyako Island) is the fourth largest island in Japan's Okinawa Prefecture. STARLUX also operates flights to nearby Shimojishima and Naha from both Taipei and Taichung.


With the addition of Miyakojima, STARLUX expands its network in Japan to cover 13 destiantions in the country. The airline operates flights to Tokyo-Narita, Nagoya, Osaka-Kansai, Kobe, Sendai, Hakodate, Sapporo-New Chitose, Takamatsu, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Naha (Okinawa), and Shimojishima.
