Singapore Airlines to increase flights to Bangkok, A380 to Dubai, and 777-300ER to Amsterdam

During the upcoming summer season, Singapore Airlines will increase flights to select destinations which will include a seventh daily service to Bangkok, the use of the Airbus A380 on its flights to Dubai, and use its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring its First Class products on the Amsterdam route.



During the upcoming summer season, Singapore Airlines will increase flights to select destinations which will include a seventh daily service to Bangkok, the use of the Airbus A380 on its flights to Dubai, and use its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft featuring its First Class products on the Amsterdam route.


For the Northern Summer season (March 29-October 24), Singapore Airlines will start operating the seventh daily service between Singapore and Bangkok Suvaranbhumi on March 29. The outbound flight SQ722 will depart Singapore at 1050H and arrive at Suvarnabhumi at 1220H. The return flight SQ721 will depart Suvarnabhumi at 1335H before arriving at 1655H.


Other Southeast Asia destinations that will see service increases by Singapore Airlines include Yangon with an additional three weekly flights (seven to 10-times weekly) and Surabaya with two additional weekly flights (21-times weekly). The additional flights will use narrowbody Boeing 737-8 (737 MAX 8) aircraft.


From March 29 to May 31, Singapore Airlines will operate a four-times weekly supplementary service to Taipei Taoyuan bringing the total number of flights to Taiwan's capital city to 18-times weekly. The outbound flight SQ872 will depart Singapore every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1000H and arrive in Taipei at 1455H. The return flight SQ873 will depart Taipei at 1610H before arriving back at Singapore at 2040H. A350-900 aircraft will be used on the additional flights.


Between July 7 to September 22, Singapore Airlines will operate an additional weekly flight to Cairns, Australia bringing the total number of weekly flights on the route to five times weekly.


777-300ER aircraft will be deployed on Singapore Airlines' daily flights to Amsterdam (SQ324/SQ323) from July 1.


Between July 1 and September 3, Singapore Airlines will de-link its thrice-weekly Singapore-Milan-Barcelona service. During the period, SQ388 and SQ387 will operate as a five-times weekly direct service between Singapore and Barcelona – up from the current twice-weekly service.


Singapore Airlines will replace the 777-300ER currently used on its flights to Dubai (SQ494/SQ495) with the A380 between March 29 and October 24.


Between Singapore and Colombo, 10 weekly flights will be operated from March 29 through April 30 before being increased to twice-daily (14-times weekly) from May 1.
