South Korean Low Cost Carrier (LCC) T'way Air is rebranding with a new name – Trinity Airways.
Following the recent acquisition of the airline by the Daemyung Sono Group, the new corporate rebranding comes as the group plans to strengthen strategic collaborations between Trinity Airways' routes and the group’s hotel and resort infrastructure across Asia, Europe and the Americas. The company will also introduce a unified membership program and customized travel packages across its businesses.
According to T'way, the name Trinity – derived from the Latin word Trinitas – will also symbolize the combination of aviation, accommodation, and travel. The full rebrand will be rolled out during the first half of the next year, which will result in the redesign of aircraft exteriors and a complete overhaul of the corporate identity.
“This rebranding to Trinity Airways marks a new beginning for the company,” the airline said in a statement. “We aim to unlock new possibilities in the aviation industry with a focus on customer safety and sustainability.”
First launched in 2004 as Hansung Airlines, T'way Air was South Korea's first LCC. The company acquired the T'way brand in 2010. With a fleet of over 40 aircraft, T'way operates flights from Seoul's two main hubs – Gimpo and Incheon – to over over 40 destinations in South Korea, the Asia region, and recently new destinations in Europe.
