THAI Airways International (THAI) is partnering with RECARO Aircraft Seating (RECARO) for the linefit of the Thailand-based airline's fleet of narrowbody Airbus A321neo aircraft with the seat manufacturer's R3 Economy Class seats.

In a statement, RECARO stated the linefit program will include 32 shipsets of the R3 seats for the A321neo fleet. The first shipset delivery is scheduled during the fourth quarter of the year (4Q 2025).
As the seat production process is now underway, the R3 seats for the THAI A321neos will feature dress covers in vibrant purple with the airline's logo on the backrest and headrest. The seat will also feature the standard tray table with stand, cup holder, literature pocket, and additional amenity pocket. To enhance convenience for passengers and crew, the patented steward step and baggage bar combination facilitate easier access to overhead bins.

In addition to the R3 seats in Economy Class, THAI will feature Thompson Aero Seating's Vantage seats in Business Class.
Other Asia-based airlines that RECARO has partnered to fit aircraft with the R3 seats include All Nippon Airways (ANA) and China Southern.
