Taiwan's Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) has warned of possible flight delays at seven airports including Taipei Taoyuan International Airport due to the ongoing nationwide Han Kuang military drills.
In an announcement by the CAA, the agency released the listing of dates when flight schedules may be impacted at specific airports coinciding with the Han Kuang drills that are taking place between July 9 and 18. The CAA further stating the extent of disruptions will depend on daily drill operations and airspace conditions.
The airports that are listed with the dates provided:
Taipei Taoyuan: July 13-17
Taipei Songhsan: July 13-16
Kaoshiung: July 13-16
Taichung: July 9 and from July 13-15
Tainan: July 13-16
Hualien: July 15 and 16
Chiayi: July 16
“Air traffic authorities may implement control measures as needed, which could result in flights being rescheduled to earlier or later times and disruption after the exercises conclude,” the CAA said.
The CAA advised passengers to check with airlines for their latest flight information ahead of their scheduled departure.
