Thai AirAsia X announces new routes to Sendai and Riyadh

Following its previous announcement of its plans to launch a new direct route to Almaty, Kazakhstan, Thai AirAsia X will also launch flights to Sendai, Japan; and the AirAsia Group's first route to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.



Following its previous announcement of its plans to launch a new direct route to Almaty, Kazakhstan, Thai AirAsia X will also launch flights to Sendai, Japan; and the AirAsia Group's first route to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


Starting December December 1, Thai AirAsia X will operate four weekly flights (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) between Bangkok Don Mueang and Sendai. The following day – December 2- the airline will then launch a new direct route from Don Mueang to Riyadh with four weekly flights (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).


The two new routes will follow the launch of the Don Mueang-Almaty route (four-times weekly – Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) starting December 1.


Each of the three new routes will see the use of Thai AirAsia X's Airbus A330 aircraft with 367 all-Economy seats.


Thai AirAsia X operates flights from Bangkok Don Mueang to four cities in Japan (Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, Nagoya, and Sapporo New Chitose), Seoul Incheon (South Korea), Delhi (India), and Shanghai Pudong (China).


With the addition of the new routes to Almaty, Sendai, and Riyadh, Thai AirAsia X will offer flights to 10 destinations.


The new Don Mueang-Almaty service will add to its Malaysia-based counterpart AirAsia X's current flights to the capital city of Kazakhstan from Kuala Lumpur. Thai AirAsia X will be the first to offer direct flights from Don Mueang to Sendai and Riyadh.
