TransNusa will increase its flights from Jakarta to Singapore, and Singkawang.

The Indonesian carrier announced it will add a third daily flight frequency between Jakarta and Singapore from July 1. TransNusa stated the additional flight – 8B155/8B156 – will be operated during the evening.

Regarding the service increase to Singapore, TransNusa Group Chief Executive Officer Datuk Bernard Francis cited the holiday period for Indonesians in July saying: “July is the favoured travelling period, especially during our school holidays duration. To assist with our passengers’ travel plans, we have secured an addition flight for passengers planning to travel to Singapore.”

Francis also noted the work done to obtain the flight slots at Singapore's Changi Airport for the additional flights saying: “Changi Airport is a world class airport with stringent requirements. The fact that TransNusa has managed to obtain all necessary approvals for an additional scheduled flight in such a short timeframe, reflects the importance and commitment we have towards safety, security, maintenance and aircraft performance measures.”

Increased Flights Between Jakarta and Singkawang

In addition to the increased services between Jakarta and Singapore, TransNusa will also increase its flights from Jakarta to a domestic destination – Singkawang - on the west coast of the island of Borneo.

Between Jakarta and Singkawang, TransNusa will increase its flights on the domestic route from four to seven weekly flights.
