South Korean budget carrier T'way Air announced it will launch its new route connecting Incheon Airport near Seoul and Jakarta on April 29.
T'way's new Incheon-Jakarta route will be operated five-times weekly (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
With a flight time of around 7 hours and 10 minutes, the outbound flight will depart Incheon at 1510H before arriving at Jakarta Sukarno Hatta International Airport at 0810H. The return flight will depart Jakarta at 2150H before arriving back at Incheon the following morning at 0705H.
Earlier this year, T'way was named by South Korea's transport ministry as the replacement carrier for flights between Incheon and Jakarta – one of the routes affected by the Korean Air-Asiana merger.
Between Incheon and Jakarta, Korean Air and Asiana operate a combined 14-times weekly flights (daily each) on the route as it competes with Garuda Indonesia's daily service.
