United has announced it will launch a new route connecting its New York City area hub at Newark and Seoul, South Korea next summer.


As part of a series of new network additions to its network for the summer of 2026, United will offer daily non-stop flights between Newark and Seoul Incheon from September 4, 2026. Building upon its current twice-daily San Francisco-Incheon flights, United will use Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on the Newark-Incheon flights.


In addition, United also noted its recently launched Tokyo Narita-Kaoshiung service will operate as a year-round service in 2026. The Narita-Ulaanbaatar flights will resume on April 30, 2026.


During the summer of 2026, United announced its expansion plans which will include new flights from its Newark hub to Split, Croatia; Bari, Italy; Glasgow, Scotland; and Santiago de Compostela, Spain. The airline will also add services between Washington-Dulles and Reykjavik, Iceland, and four-additional weekly Newark-Tel Aviv flights.


Between Newark and Seoul, Air Premia currently operates flights on the route. Korean Air and Asaiana operates flights to Seoul from New York-JFK.
