To support the Vietjet group's regional growth strategy – including the addition of new routes by its Thailand-based subsidiary Vietjet Thailand – the Vietnam-based airline group has been reportedly planning to grow its workforce in Thailand to over 5,000 by the end of the decade.
To support the Vietjet group's regional growth strategy – including the addition of new routes by its Thailand-based subsidiary Vietjet Thailand – the Vietnam-based airline group has been reportedly planning to grow its workforce in Thailand to over 5,000 by the end of the decade.
Reported by outlets such as the Bangkok Post, the positions that will be filled in Vietjet Thailand include pilots, cabin crew, engineers, technicians, and ground staff. The added staff will support the introduction of additional direct routes by Vietjet Thailand to cities in Japan, South Korea, and India.
Following the presence of the airline with its booth at Job Expo Thailand 2025 in Bangkok in early June, Vietjet Thailand reported it is actively recruiting 120 cabin crew members in 2025 and 80 pilots by 2026. Currently with around 1,300 employees based in Thailand, the airline plans to grow its workforce to over 5,000 by 2029.
During the fall through the end of the year, Vietjet Thailand will launch new international routes from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Seoul Incheon (October 1), Kolkata (November 16), Osaka-Kansai (December 1), Ahmedabad (December 4), and Tokyo-Narita (December 15).
