During the upcoming peak Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday period, Vietjet plans to operate nearly 1,800 extra flights offering an additional 390,000 seats.
Between February 2 to March 3, Vietjet stated the additional flights will focus on high-demand routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, Da Nang, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Chu Lai, Hai Phong, Hue, Quy Nhon, and Dong Hoi before Tet. The return routes will be the focus after Tet.
“This enhancement helps ease congestion and promptly meet travel demand during the busiest period of the year. The increase in flight frequencies not only provides passengers with more flexible options in terms of schedules and itineraries, but also demonstrates Vietjet’s proactive commitment to accompanying travelers on their journeys of reunion, family gatherings, and early spring travel.”
Vietjet also states it will strengthen its staffing at airports during the upcoming holiday period.
