Vietjet to launch first route to the Philippines with new Ho Chi Minh-Manila flights

Vietjet will launch its first route to the Philippines connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Manila in November.


From November 22, the Vietnam-based budget carrier will operate five-weekly flights between the two cities (Outbound: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday/Return: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday).


According to Vietjet, the outbound flight will depart Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat Airport at 2305H and arrive in Manila the following morning at 0250H. The return flight will depart Manila at 0345H before landing back at Ho Chi Minh City at 0530H.


Vietjet will become the fourth airline to offer flights between Vietnam and the Philippines – the other three are Vietnam's national airline Vietnam Airlines and Philippine-based Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines. The three other carriers currently operates flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Manila.
