Vietjet is expanding its network in Japan with a new route connecting Hanoi and Shizuoka starting April 28.
The new route – which will be Vietjet's 11th between Vietnam and Japan – will be operate three-times weekly (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday). Vietjet will be the sole airline operator – full-service or budget – to offer flights on the route.
According to Vietjet, the outbound flights will depart Hanoi's Noi Bai Airport at 0240H and arrive at Shizuoka at 0930H. The return flight will depart Shizuoka at 1030H and arrive in Hanoi at 1400H.
Located southeast of Tokyo along the eastern coast of the Japanese island of Honshu, Shizuoka is a major gateway to explore Mount Fuji – Japan's iconic mountain. The prefecture's economy also features agriculture with its major commercial crops including tea and mandarin oranges.
Vietjet currently operates flights from both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to five cities in Japan including Tokyo (Haneda and Narita), Osaka Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Hiroshima.
Hanoi will be the second international connection from Shizuoka. Jeju Air currently operates flights to the city from Seoul Incheon.
