Vietnam Airlines and Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced a new codeshare agreement offering more travel option between Scandinavia and Vietnam.


Announced during the recent Vietnam-Sweden Business Forum, the two SkyTeam member carriers will allow passengers to book itineraries that includes segments operated on either airline between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and the Scandinavian capital cities Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo.


Frequent flyer program members of both carriers will be able to earn and redeem SAS EuroBonus or LotusMiles points across both networks.

As both airlines are members of the SkyTeam alliance, this provides a solid foundation for implementing an effective codeshare agreement, offering passengers more destination choices and enhanced benefits for members of each airlines frequent flyer program. At the same time, this partnership marks an important step forward in promoting economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and the Scandinavian region,” said Dang Anh Tuan, Executive Vice President of Vietnam Airlines. 


The announcement of the new codeshare partnership between Vietnam Airlines and SAS follows the announcement by Vietnam Airlines it will launch flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Copenhagen starting December 15
