Philippine Airlines to launch direct flights to India

Philippine Airlines will start services to India with two routes from Manila to Delhi and Mumbai. 

The Philippine flag carrier stated the new routes will start in December 2026, though no specific date was mentioned and the services are subject to Indian government approval. Three weekly flights will be operated between Manila and Delhi, while four weekly flights will be operated on the Manila-Mumbai route. Both routes will use 168-seat Airbus A321neo aircraft featuring 12 lie-flat Business Class seats and 165 seats in Economy.

On the Manila-Delhi route, PR642 will depart Manila every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 2240H and arrive at 0300H the following morning (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). The return flight PR643 will depart at 0815H before arriving back at Manila at 1700H.

Operating every Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, the Manila-Mumbai flight PR646 will depart at 2240H and arrive at 0305H the following morning (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). The return flight PR647 will depart at 0715H before arriving at Manila at 1700H.

“Opening services to Delhi and Mumbai strengthens PAL’s network in one of Asia’s most dynamic economies,” said Philippine Airlines’ President Richard Nuttall. “These routes will create new opportunities for Filipinos to explore India while supporting the growing movement of travelers, businesses and goods between our two countries.”

Philippine Airlines will be the second airline to operate flights between the Philippines and India. Air India currently operates flights between Manila and Delhi.
