The Philippine Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) is continuing to lower the fuel surcharge for flight bookings for the first two weeks of June to Level 13.

Effective during the 15-day period between June 1 and 15, the fuel surcharge for flight bookings sold will be between PHP 423 to PHP 1,237 for domestic flights. Depending on flight distance, the fuel surcharge for international flights from the Philippines will be between PHP1,396.74 to PHP10,385.42.

The applicable exchange rate to USD $1 for the period of June 1-15 will increase from PHP61.18 to PHP61.45.

It is a drop by two levels from the current Level 15 currently in effect until the end of May. At Level 15, the fuel surcharge is PHP491 to PHP1436 for domestic flights. The fuel surcharge for international flights depending on distance will be PHP1,621.42 to PHP12,056.

Previously, the CAB raised the fuel surcharge for the period of April 1-15 from Level 4 to Level 8 in mid-March. It was then raised to the second highest level - Level 19 - in late April. The CAB has since lowered the fuel surcharge twice for May, and the upcoming period where Level 15 will be in effect.

The 15-day implementation period is a temporary measure to better respond to the ongoing fuel situation, temporarily suspending the application of Section 2 and 3 of Part II. General Provisions, and Timetable under CAB Resolution No. 25 (2022).
