Hong Kong Airlines has announced it will launch a new direct route to Da Nang, Vietnam.

Hong Kong Airlines has announced it will launch a new direct route to Da Nang, Vietnam.

The Hong Kong-based carrier announced that it will launch its new Hong Kong-Da Nang route on July 19. The airline will operate daily flights on the route, which will be launched the same day as the airline's previously announced route connecting Hong Kong and Taichung, Taiwan.

Hong Kong Airlines is committed to exploring more potential hotspots for travellers, offering a diverse range of options. The introduction of the new Da Nang route not only expands the company's overall network coverage in the Southeast Asia region but also reinforces its support for the Belt and Road Initiative. This expansion is aimed to enhance connectivity, facilitate trade, and foster cultural and economic exchanges between the regions,” the airline said in a statement.

Da Nang will be Hong Kong's second destination in Vietnam. The airline currently operates flights to Hanoi.

Between Hong Kong and Da Nang, Hong Kong Express and VietJet also operates flights on the route.
