A new consolidated lounge for those holding select credit cards will be opened at Kansai International Airport (KIX) next month.

In a statement, airport operator Kansai Airports announced the new Credit Card Members Lounge “North Lounge” in the 3rd Floor, North side of the international departure area of KIX Terminal 1 will be opened on April 1. The three current credit card lounges at Terminal 1 – the “Rokko,” “Kongo,” and “Annex Rokko” lounges - will be closed on March 31.

The new North Lounge will cover an area of 318sqm with a capacity for 105 guests.  Based on the concept of “Unwind while feeling the essence of Kansai,” the lounge features design elements inspired by Osaka and the Kansai region. Guests can enjoy Osaka's takoyaki (available for purchase) and a Automatic Super Delice (ASD) vending machines by Family Mart (Food Vending Machine) – the first ever to be introduced in a Japanese airport lounge.

Upon its opening, passengers who are eligible members of partner credit card companies will be able to access the lounge during its operating hours between 7AM and 11PM each day.
