According to the ministry, Manado's Sam Ratulangi International Airport will be closed until Thursday evening. Nine flights have been affected. 


Mount Ruang is located approximately 100 kilometers north of the airport. 



Previously, AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines have announced flight cancellations to destinations in East Malaysia.


Located in the Sangihe Islands north of Indonesia's North Sulawesi province. According to reports from outlets such as the Jakarta Post, the first eruption was recorded on the evening of April 17 followed by two more the following morning (April 18).
