Saudi Arabia's national airline Saudia has announced a new codeshare agreement with Virgin Atlantic.

The two SkyTeam carriers announced the signing of the agreement aimed at enhancing connectivity between Saudi Arabia and destinations on Virgin Atlantic's network.

As part of the first phase of the agreement, Saudia's customers will be able to travel from Jeddah and Riyadh to 10 destinations in the US and the Caribbean via London-Heathrow and Manchester in the United Kingdom. In return, Virgin Atlantic customers from the US will be able to book flights to Saudia-operated flights to Jeddah and Riyadh via the two UK airports.

The codeshare partnership will enable customers to enjoy same-ticket booking on each others flights, baggage handling to their destination, and reciprocal frequent flier benefits.
