Singapore's Changi Airport is currently developing a new premium, private terminal scheduled to open in the middle of 2027.

In a statement, airport operator Changi Airport Group (CAG) said the new private terminal will be on the former Commercially Important Persons (CIP) terminal site located at the southern node of Terminal 2. CAG is partnering with Plaza Premium Group (PPG) to operate the new private terminal after its opening.

According to the CAG, the private terminal will feature a deluxe lounge, bar, private suites and bespoke dining. An open-air, high-end event space will be available for large groups and private gatherings.

Speaking on the future private terminal, CAG's Senior Vice President, Airport Operations Development and Airport Operations Services Ang Siew Min said: “Some of today’s travellers seek more than just a comfortable place to spend time before their flight — they are after a personalised premium experience. CAG is meeting this demand with an upgraded private terminal that delivers an exceptional experience. In addition, a curated selection of dining and wellness offerings awaits just steps from the private terminal, further enriching the suite of options available to our passengers.”

“By bringing together our global expertise in airport hospitality with Changi’s renowned operational excellence, we will offer a new benchmark in personalised, seamless and bespoke services for our discerning guests,” added Mei Mei Song, PPG’s Chief Transformation Officer.

Current private and VIP services at Changi Airport are served at two facilities the JetQuay CIP Terminal and the VIP Complex. Located at Terminal 2, the JetQuay CIP Terminal offers high-end independent premium services that can be booked by customers. Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs operates the VIP Complex for government officials, diplomatic delegations, royalty, and state-level officials.
