Cebu Pacific increases carry-on weight limit to 10kg from September 15

Cebu Pacific announced an update to its cabin (hand carry) baggage policy, giving passengers up to 10kg (~22lbs) of total hand carry items starting September 15.

The additional hand carry weight allowance will be applicable for travelers flying on Cebu Pacific (5J) operated flights, up from the current 7kg (~15lbs) allowance. However, it will not be applicable for those traveling on CebGo (DG) which will continue to have the 7kg allowance.

“The updated policy gives passengers more flexibility to bring what they need for their trip, while keeping clear limits on the number and size of hand carry items. These measures will also help our crew manage baggage more efficiently, complete pre-departure procedures on time, and keep flights on schedule.”

The Manila, Philippines-based budget carrier allows passengers to bring up to two (2) pieces of hand carry items onboard, including one (1) hand carry luggage placed in the overhead bins and one (1) personal item under the seat front. Hand carry baggage must be no more than 56cm in height, 36cm in length, and 23cm in width. Personal items must be no more than 20cm in height, 35cm in length, and 20cm in width. Hand carry items that exceeds the airline’s limits will need to be checked in and subject to applicable baggage fees.
