In partnership with Loyalty Status Co., and accessible through StatusMatch.com., current elite members of participating airline loyalty programs will be able to receive the equivalent recognition as either Mabuhay Miles Elite or Mabuhay Miles Premier Elite status.

Through a dedicated online application page, the Mabuhay Miles Status Match program is already open since September 15. The application fee is USD $199 for Mabuhay Miles Elite and USD $349 for Mabuhay Miles Premier Elite. Members whose applications are approved between July 1 and December 31, 2026 will enjoy matched status through February 2028.

"Elite status is one of the strongest indicators of future travel value," said Mark Ross-Smith, CEO of Loyalty Status Co. "We're excited to partner with Philippine Airlines to introduce Mabuhay Miles to frequent flyers globally and provide a fast, secure and convenient path into one of Asia's most respected loyalty programs."

Founded in 1941, Philippine Airlines operates direct flights from its hubs of Manila and Cebu to 69 destinations, including 29 in the Philippines and 40 in Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East. The Philippine flag carrier was officially invited to join the oneworld Alliance during the summer in 2026.

The Mabuhay Miles program was established in 1982 and relaunched in 2002, and is Philippine Airlines’ main frequent flier program. The tiers of membership includes Classic, Elite, Premier Elite, and Million Miler. Members can earn and redeem miles on Philippine Airlines or partner flights, and hotel, lifestyle, banking, and retail partners.
