Riyadh Air to launch flights to Bangkok

Riyadh Air is continuing the expansion of its international network and its destinations in Southeast Asia with the addition of a new route to Bangkok starting September 2. 


According to Riyadh Air’s website, the new Saudi Arabian national airline will operate three weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) on the Riyadh-Bangkok Suvarnabhumi route. The outbound flight RX853 will depart Riyadh’s King Khalid Airport at 2215H and will arrive the following morning at Bangkok at 0935H. The return flight RX854 will depart Bangkok at 1655H before arriving back at Riyadh at 2015H.


With the addition of Bangkok, Riyadh Air’s network will grow to 14 destinations. It follows the separate announcement of the addition of flights to Lahore, Islamabad, and Manila.


Bangkok will be Riyadh Air’s third destination in Southeast Asia. The airline launched thrice-weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur on July 30, and will launch daily flights to Manila on September 9.
