Turkish Airlines will expand its presence in Mainland China with a new route to the central city of Chengdu.
Turkish Airlines will expand its presence in Mainland China with a new route to the central city of Chengdu.
From November 11, the Star Alliance member carrier will operate three weekly flights from its hub at Istanbul to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport. Outbound flights will operate every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday while the return flights every Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The outbound flight TK226 will depart Istanbul at 0205H and arrive at Chengdu at 1540H. The return flight TK227 will depart Chengdu after midnight at 0045H before arriving back at Istanbul later in the morning at 0555H.

Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will be used on the inaugural roundtrip flights before switching to the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner after.
Chengdu will be Turkish Airlines’ fourth destination in Mainland China, where it operates regularly scheduled flights to Beijing Capital, Shanghai Pudong, and Guangzhou Baiyun.
