flydubai to resume Dubai-Budapest route

Dubai-based budget carrier flydubai will resume its route to Budapest by the end of this month.

From July 31, flydubai will operate three weekly flights (Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday) on the route connecting Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD). The services will then be increased to daily on October 25 to cater to the upcoming surge in autumn-winter travel demand.

The outbound flight FZ1405 will depart Dubai at 1645H before arriving at Budapest at 2140H. The return flight FZ1406 will depart Budapest at 2240H before arriving back at Dubai the following morning at 0705H. Boeing 737 aircraft will be used on the Dubai-Budapest flights.

flydubai stated the new direct service will be its return to the Hungarian capital, where it previously launched flights to in 2021. It is offered as part of the budget carrier’s codeshare partnership with Emirates, enabling single-ticket bookings, through-checked baggage, and access to each airline’s networks.

Budapest is the latest route addition by flydubai, following the recent launch of services to Aleppo, Bangkok, and Benghazi. The airline will add Pokhara, Nepal to its network from September 23.
