ITA Airways will add Dubai to its network this winter season.

During the winter 2024 season (late October-March 2025), the Rome-based carrier announced it will launch its new route connecting Rome-Fiumicino and Dubai from October 27. Operating daily, the airline will use its Airbus A321neo aircraft featuring 165 seats – 12 Business, 12 Premium, and 141 Economy (including 12 Comfort Economy).

According to ITA Airways, the new route between Italy and the United Arab Emirates is the first new route of the upcoming winter 2024 season. The route will not only cater to point-to-point traffic, but also enable customers to connect to several domestic, international, and intercontinental destinations from Rome Fiumicino Airport.

“Dubai has always been a global hub for both business and leisure tourism. The opening of this new nonstop flight reflects ITA Airways' commitment to providing optimal travel solutions and further confirms the centrality of the intercontinental network development in the Company's business strategy,” the airline said in a statement.

Currently operating flights to 57 destinations, ITA Airways will further expand its presence in the Middle East and Africa with new nonstop flights from Rome to Riyadh (June 2), Accra (June 6), Dakar and Kuwait City (July), and Jeddah (August).

At present, Emirates is the lone carrier operating twice-daily flights between Rome and Dubai.
