Delta Airlines announced its new route between Atlanta and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will start on October 23.
The Atlanta-based airline will operate daily flights on the Atlanta-Riyadh route during the first week upon its launch between October 23 to the 30. Delta will then operate three weekly flights on the route after using Airbus A350-900 aircraft featuring its Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort® and Delta Main cabins.
According to Delta’s website, the outbound flight DL318 will depart Atlanta at 2340H and arrive at Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport the following afternoon at 1945H. The return flight DL317 will depart Riyadh at 2330H and arrive back at Atlanta at 0751H.
“Delta’s new nonstop service to Riyadh is a meaningful step in connecting our customers to one of the world’s most important and fast-growing regions,” said Peter Carter, President of Delta Air Lines. “Through our Atlanta hub, we’re making travel between the United States and Saudi Arabia more direct and more accessible, while delivering the premium experience, reliability and care customers expect from Delta.”
Riyadh will be Delta’s first direct connection to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the first ever non-stop route between the US and Riyadh by a US-based airline.
