Philippine Airlines is extending the suspension of flights to Doha through the end of June, and Dubai through the start of August.
In an advisory posted on its website on May 11, Philippine Airlines reported flights PR684/PR685 between Manila and Doha will be canceled until June 30. The Doha-Manila flight on July 1 is also canceled.
Separately, PR658/PR659 between Manila and Dubai is canceled until August 2.
According to the Philippine flag carrier, the cancellations are due to the ongoing situation in the Middle East including risks to critical infrastructure and overall airspace safety.
“Safety remains our top priority. With unpredictable conditions — including restricted airspace, sudden closures, and limited routing options — PAL is taking a more cautious approach based on its safety assessment, recognizing that operating conditions may vary by airline.”
After the start of the Middle East conflict at the end of February, Philippine Airlines suspended its flights to Dubai, Doha, and Riyadh. The airline has since resumed flights to Riyadh.
