Bohol’s Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado also welcomed the charter flight, which he and the province hopes would open up more flights from Japan.

“This is a very encouraging development for Bohol. We are hopeful that this chartered flight will pave the way for regular international arrivals, particularly from Japan, which has always been a valued tourism market for us,” Aumentado said.

Located on Panglao island in the Philippine province of Bohol, Bohol-Panglao Airport is the main airport for the province’s capital Tagbilaran.
