SAS second re-launch of Copenhagen-Mumbai route on October 1

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) will relaunch its non-stop route between Copenhagen and Mumbai on October 1.

“SAS is delighted to announce that all operational and practical preparations are in place, and flights are now officially ready for takeoff. Starting October 1, 2026, SAS reconnects Scandinavia and India with a nonstop year-round route between Copenhagen and Mumbai.”

The airline will operate five weekly flights (outbound every Sunday, Tuesday, Thusday, Friday, and Saturday/return: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) using Airbus A330 aircraft. The outbound flight SK969 will depart Copenhagen at 1610H and will arrive at Mumbai the following morning at 0430H. The return flight SK970 will depart Mumbai at 0630H and arrive back at Copenhagen at 1215H.

SAS last operated flights to India in 2009. The airline announced its re-launch of the route from June 2, though the flight had to return back to Copenhagen due to a failure to secure final regulatory approvals.
