SAS - Scandinavian Airlines and Garuda Indonesia have announced the both airlines have entered into a new codeshare partnership which strengthens connectivity between Scandinavia and Indonesia.

Signed during the International Air Transport Association (IATA) General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the newly announced partnership will offer seamless connections to and from Jakarta and Denpasar (Bali) as well as Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo via Amsterdam and Tokyo Haneda. Connections from Bangkok will be added during the Winter 2026/2027 season.

“Garuda Indonesia is a key partner for connecting Scandinavia with Indonesia and the wider region. Together, we are making travel simpler and more seamless for the many people, businesses and communities with ties between our countries. By bringing our networks closer together, we are creating more opportunities to connect Scandinavia with one of Asia's most dynamic markets,” said SAS’s President and CEO Anko van der Werff.

The collaboration between the two SkyTeam member airlines will enable Garuda Indonesia customers access to SAS’s Scandinavian gateways. SAS customers will gain new opportunities to reach Indonesia’s major destinations via Garuda Indonesia.

Frequent flyer program members of both airlines will also be able to earn and redeem points across the combined network.

Ticket sales for flights covered in the partnership started on June 9 for travel starting from June 15.
