STARLUX Airlines announced it will deploy its new Airbus A350-1000 aircraft on its first route to Europe between Taipei and Prague, Czech Republic.

Following the launch of the Taipei Taoyuan-Prague route on August 1, STARLUX announced the A350-900 aircraft currently used on the route with the A350-1000 from September 1. The upgrade to the bigger A350-1000 will provide more capacity on the route from 309 seats on the -900 to 350 seats across four cabin classes.

Currently operated thrice-weekly (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday), STARLUX will increase its services on the route to four-times weekly from October (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).

"Prague represents far more than STARLUX's first destination in Europe—it is a significant milestone in our long-term global network strategy," said Glenn Chai, CEO of STARLUX Airlines. "As semiconductor supply chains continue to expand across Central Europe, particularly in areas surrounding Prague, the launch of this nonstop service will better support growing business demand while providing leisure travelers a more convenient and comfortable travel option."

"With today's launch, STARLUX also becomes the only airline offering nonstop flights between Taipei and Prague with First Class service. Together with our extensive Asian network, we look forward to providing travelers between Prague and Asia with a premium and seamless travel experience."

According to STARLUX, the deployment of the A350-1000 to Prague will bring the airline’s AIRSORAYAMA Silver and Gold aircraft on the route making it the third city in its network to have regular visits of the special aircraft besides Tokyo and Phoenix.
