Thailand-based private charter and seaplane operator Siam Seaplane officially unveiled its newly expanded operational base at Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) Terminal 1.
According to Siam Seaplane, the new DMK base will serve at its central operational command center as it aims to expand its operations in the country. The planned network expansion will be launched in the Andaman (Southern Thailand) and the Bangkok hub. A brand new operational base will also be set up at Krabi later this year to support the Andaman operations.
Within the Andaman network, Siam Seaplane will serve coastal and island destinations such as Phuket, Phang Nga, Koh Yao Noi, Krabi, Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, Koh Lipe, and Trang. The Bangkok hub will feature routes connecting travelers to destinations within 1.5 hour flight time such as Pattaya, Prachuap, Hua Hin, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao, Rayong, Koh Chang, and Koh Kood.
"Our new operational hub represents far more than a new office," said Mr. Dennis Keller, Group Chief Executive Officer of Seaplane Asia Group. "It reflects our long-term commitment to actively contribute to the growth of a premium aviation ecosystem across Southeast Asia. Siam Seaplane is reinforcing its operational foundation to redefine regional connectivity, unlock new tourism opportunities, and set new standards for premium last-mile aviation. Together with our teams, partners, and regulators, we are turning a long-term vision into reality."
Dr. Worakanya Siripidej, Chief Executive Officer of Siam Seaplane, added: "This operational hub strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional private aviation services today while preparing for the launch of Thailand's first commercial seaplane network. As we continue progressing with water landing site development and regulatory milestones, our vision remains clear: to connect people with Thailand's most extraordinary destinations through safe, sustainable, and world-class aviation."
Operating in Thailand since 2019, Siam Seaplane is the country’s first premium seaplane operator providing convenient access to waterfront resorts, beaches, and marinas. The company also has a VIP service offering land-to-land air charters and scenic flights named Siam Scenic.
Siam Seaplane operates both wheeled and amphibious Cessna Grand Caravan 208 EX aircraft seating 6-8 passengers with all executive leather seats.
