Asiana Airlines to introduce Starlink on select flights from September 15

The first Asiana Airlines flights to feature SpaceX’x Starlink high-speed internet onboard from September 15, starting with select long-haul flights.

According to Asiana, Starlink will be introduced to its passengers on 10 widebody jets it is already installed on, including 9 Airbus A350s and 1 A330s.

No details of the exact routes where the high-speed internet service will be available on has been provided by the airline.

“Starting from September 15, 2026, the service is available on select long-haul routes operated by nine (9) A350 aircraft and one (1) A330 aircraft. We plan to gradually expand this service to additional aircraft in our fleet in the near future.”

In addition, Starlink will also be available on domestic flights using Starlink-equipped aircraft.

As part of the Korean Air-Asiana merger, Korean Air announced the introduction of Starlink on its group carriers in December 2025. While the Asiana brand will be phased out by December 16 of this year, Starlink will also be introduced on the group’s budget carriers Jin Air, Air Busan, and Air Seoul before their unification as Jin Air in 2027.

Both carriers planned to introduce Starlink first on their long-haul Boeing 777-300ER and A350-900 aircraft. Korean Air aims to complete the fleetwide installation by the end of 2027.
