ATR announced that Cambodia Airways has taken delivery of the first of two ATR 72-600s.

Ordered through Singapore-based lessor Avation, Cambodia Airways’ first turboprop is scheduled to enter service later this month. The second aircraft is expected to arrive during the 4Q 2026.

From its hub at Phnom Pneh, Cambodia Airways will use the aircraft to serve tourist flows within Cambodia across the wider Southeast Asian region.

“To stimulate the demand for short-haul travel to neighbouring countries, Cambodia Airways is expanding and enhancing its fleet, selecting the ATR 72-600 to operate reliable, low-emission and affordable regional services. The new aircraft will strengthen the airline’s network across Southeast Asia, their bigger jets being mainly used to serve China and other longer routes across the region.”

With the new ATR 72-600, Cambodia Airways currently has a fleet of around 6 aircraft which consists of 5 Airbus A319/A320 aircraft. The airline operates flights to 27 destinations within Cambodia and cities across the region including Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Singapore, and Ho Chi Minh City.
