Malaysia-based premium boutique airline Berjaya Air has taken delivery of the first ATR 72-600 featuring the regional aircraft manufacturer’s HighLine “All-Business Class” configuration.

The new ATR 72-600 (registered 9M-BJA) arrived at Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (Subang International) Airport on May 15 after a four day delivery flight from Toulouse, France that made six stops along the way.

With 26 all-Business Class seats in a 1-1 layout, the fully bespoke seats are handcrafted ETEREA seats by Geven. A personal side console with integrated stowage are located on the side of the seats, and overhead bins are replaced by sleek valence panels. According to ATR, the design opens the cabin, floods the interior with natural light, and creates a volume comparable to the world’s largest private aircraft.

Whether serving resort destinations or charter operations across the region, the ATR HighLine cabin allows us to deliver an end-to-end premium travel experience that reflects Berjaya’s hospitality heritage and long-term vision.”

ATR Chief Executive Officer Nathalie Tarnaud Laude added: “This milestone demonstrates how the ATR family continues to evolve to meet new market expectations. The ATR HighLine cabin collection opens new possibilities for operators seeking exceptional onboard comfort while leveraging all the efficiency and operational benefits of the aircraft. Together with Berjaya Air, we are demonstrating the inherent versatility of the ATR platform, capable of adapting to a wide range of operator needs without compromising its core strengths.”

Berjaya Air plans to introduce the newly delivered ATR 72-600 in the coming days on flights on a new route between Subang and Koh Samui. The airline will then continue to introduce its “affordable luxury” experience on its regional network covering destinations in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. The airline will also focus on serving the Berjaya Group’s portfolio of hotels and resorts.

A second factory-new ATR 72-600 with the new interior and Business Class seats will be delivered to Berjaya Air during the third quarter of the year.
