Cebu Pacific to add 2 new international routes from Cebu, resume 3 more routes

Cebu Pacific announced it will launch 2 new routes from Cebu to Nagoya and Shanghai. The Philippine budget carrier will also resume services on three routes: Manila-Xiamen, Clark-Hanoi, and Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City.

The first of the two new routes to be introduced from Cebu will be the Cebu-Shanghai route starting November 17 with three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). Services on the Cebu-Nagoya route will start with four weekly flights (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) on November 19. Cebu Pacific will be the lone carrier to offer flights from Cebu to Nagoya, while it will be the lone Philippine-based carrier to offer flights between Cebu and Shanghai.

Among the route resumptions, Cebu Pacific will resume services on the Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City with three weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) from October 26. Thrice-weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) on the Clark-Hanoi route will start on November 19. The budget carrier will then resume flights on the Manila-Xiamen route with two weekly flights (Monday and Friday) from November 23.

The addition of the Cebu-Shanghai and the resumption of services between Manila and Xiamen will bring Cebu Pacific’s total routes between the Philippines and Mainland China to four. It adds to the flights from Manila to Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Between the Philippines and Japan, Cebu Pacific will offer flights on up to eight routes. From Manila, the airline offers flights to Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and the seasonal winter service to Sapporo New Chitose. The new Cebu-Nagoya route will add to the current services from Cebu to Narita and Kansai.

Cebu Pacific will also expand its services to Vietnam to five routes. The airline currently offers flights from Manila to Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi.
