Delta to return to Tokyo Narita with Seattle-Narita route in 2027

Delta will make its return to Tokyo’s Narita Airport after an absence of nearly seven years with the launch of its own service between Seattle and Narita next spring.

According to the Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA), the daily Seattle-Narita service will start on March 28, 2027. The outbound flight DL115 will depart Seattle at 1335H, arriving at Narita at 1620H the following day. The first return flight will depart Narita on March 29, 2027 as DL114 early in the evening at 1830H before arriving back at Seattle at 1200H.

The Atlanta-based Delta will use its Airbus A330-900neo aircraft on the route featuring 281 seats (29 Business, 28 Premium Economy, and 224 Economy).

Delta previously operated a hub and flights on the Seattle-Narita route in March 2020. Along with flights between Narita and its US mainland hubs such as Seattle, Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis/St Paul. In addition, Delta also operated Fifth Freedom routes from Narita to destinations in the Asia-Pacific such as Manila, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, and Beijing. The Narita hub operations would cease in 2020, and all of Delta’s Tokyo operations were shifted to Haneda Airport.

The return of the Seattle-Narita service will complement Delta’s current flights from Seattle to Haneda. In addition to the Seattle-Haneda route, Delta also operates flights to Haneda from Atlanta, Detroit, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis/St Paul.
