Lufthansa Group carriers (SWISS, Lufthansa, Eurowings) to resume flights to Dubai from October 24

The three Lufthansa Group carriers that suspended their flights to Dubai earlier this year will resume their services to the city during the upcoming winter season.

In an update on its website, Germany-based Lufthansa previously announced it will resume its flights to Dubai on October 24. The airline previously operated flights to the city from Frankfurt and Munich. 

SWISS International Airlines (SWISS) will resume its services between Zurich and Dubai on October 27. Using Airbus A340-300 aircraft for flights LX242/LX243 during the winter season, SWISS will offer Premium Economy seats on the route.

Originally scheduled on October 25 (first return on October 26), SWISS said the shift to October 27 was due to operational reasons. Affected customers will be notified about the change and their flight rebooking options.

“SWISS continues to monitor the situation closely and assess it on an ongoing basis together with the relevant authorities in Switzerland and locally, as well as in coordination with the Lufthansa Group. The safety of its passengers and employees remains SWISS’s highest priority.”

Eurowings stated it will gradually resume flights to Dubai from November 1 starting with daily flights from Berlin and four weekly from Stuttgart. Thrice-weekly flights from Cologne/Bonn to Dubai will resume on November 3.

All Eurowings flights to Dubai will use Airbus A320neo aircraft, and Premium BIZ seats will be offered on all flights to the city from December.
