Turkish Airlines and Air China expand their codeshare partnership

Turkish Airlines and Air China are expanding their codeshare partnership to offer more connecting options between Turkey and China.

Building on the current partnership which covers flights between their hubs at Istanbul and Beijing, all direct trunk routes of each airline are now covered. Select domestic services beyond Beijing and international flights from Istanbul.

Turkish Airlines’ customers will be able to travel on Air China-operated flights from Beijing to cities in Mainland China including Shenzhen, Chongqing, Xiamen, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Qingdao. In return, Air China’s customers will have access to onward connections via Istanbul with Turkish Airlines to Ankara, select cities in Africa (Accra, Lagos, Marrakesh, Dar es Salaam, Algiers, and Tunis), and Latin America (Cancun and Mexico City).

“Looking ahead, Turkish Airlines and Air China plan to extend their codeshare cooperation further to newly launched direct routes between Türkiye and China, continuing to build on this strategic partnership and support closer trade, tourism and cultural ties between the two countries.”

The two Star Alliance member carriers first launched their codeshare partnership in 2024.

Turkish Airlines currently offers flights to four cities in Mainland China, including Beijing Capital, Shanghai Pudong, and Guangzhou. The airline will launch flights to Chengdu on November 11.

Air China operates direct flights between Beijing Capital and Istanbul.
