Philippine Airlines to bring A350-1000 to San Francisco from August 5

As Philippine Airlines welcomed its third Airbus A350-1000, the Philippine flag carrier announced the airline’s flagship aircraft will be deployed on its flights between Manila and San Francisco next month.

From August 5, the A350-1000 will be used on three weekly flights on the Manila-San Francisco route (Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday). It will then shift to daily in September.

Onboard, Philippine Airlines features its newest interiors aboard the widebody jet with 382 seats including 42 private suites in Business, 24 Premium Economy, and 316 in Economy. The aircraft is equipped with two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines.

Including a newly announced order made at the recent Farnborough International Airshow 2026, Philippine Airlines has a total of 18 A350-1000s on order. Two of which have already been delivered. Typically used on long-haul flights from Manila to both New York and Toronto, it has also been used on flights to Bangkok, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Five more A350-1000s are expected to be delivered to Philippine Airlines during the year 2026, followed by three more in 2027.

Philippine Airlines’ third A350-1000 (registered RP-C3512) arrived in Manila after its delivery flight from Airbus’ delivery center in Toulouse, France. It will enter commercial service after completing the necessary regulatory and operational preparations.
