Sun Phu Quoc Airways is continuing the expansion of its international network with its first two routes into Mainland China from Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc to Chengdu.
Sun Phu Quoc Airways is continuing the expansion of its international network with its first two routes into Mainland China from Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc to Chengdu.
The first of the two routes to be launched to Chengdu will be from Phu Quoc which will be the first by any airline between the two destinations. Sun Phu Quoc Airways will operate three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) starting July 16. The outbound flight 9G610 will depart Phu Quoc at 1625H and arrive at Chengdu Tianfu Airport at 2105H. The return flight 9G611 will then depart Chengdu at 2205H before arriving back at Phu Quoc at 0050H the following morning.
Then on August 12, the airline will launch its four-times weekly service (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) on the Ho Chi Minh City-Chengdu route. From Ho Chi Minh City, 9G640 will depart at 1635H and arrive at Chengdu at 2105H. The return flight 9G641 will depart Chengdu at 22056H before arriving back at Phu Quoc at 0100H the following morning.

The simultaneous launch of two routes to Chengdu further underscores the airline’s commitment to expanding its presence in the largest international source market for Vietnam’s tourism industry, while strengthening connectivity between key tourism and economic hubs of the two countries.”
Chengdu will be Sun Phu Quoc Airways’ fourth international destination. The airline currently operates flights to Taipei Taoyuan, Seoul (Incheon), and Hong Kong. Flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi will belaunched on August 8.
