Indonesia’s flag carrier Garuda Indonesia recently launched a new program that offers foreign visitors a free domestic add-on ticket along with the purchase of an international round-trip ticket to Indonesia.
Indonesia’s flag carrier Garuda Indonesia recently launched a new program that offers foreign visitors a free domestic add-on ticket along with the purchase of an international round-trip ticket to Indonesia.
The new program is named “Discover More of Indonesia” which Garuda aims to promote domestic travel within Indonesia beyond the capital city of Jakarta and the resort destination of Denpasar (Bali). Customers from outside Indonesia who purchase a round-trip ticket to Indonesia in any cabin class departing no later than November 30, and apply a special promotional code will get the free domestic round trip ticket.
According to Garuda Indonesia, the return flight to the original country of departure make take place after November 30 provided it complies with the applicable Length of Stay Requirements. Those traveling from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok will need to stay in the country for 3-7 days, while its a longer 3-21 days for all other international routes.
All international flights must be operated by Garuda Indonesia, and is not applicable to interline or codeshare flights, and tickets purchased via points redemption. Nor can it be combined with other discount or promotional programs except for the standard child and infant fare discounts.
On its promotional website, Garuda Indonesia provided examples of international origin itineraries that are eligible or ineligible under the program.

According to local media reports from outlets such as Kompas.com, more than 170,000 tickets are available for departures under the program.
